I haven't paid more than $10 since installed in 2017. I specifically selected the new heat pump as a companion to the solar system. As long as it is 37-38 degrees outside the heat pump will operate through the solar system. Lower than that and the gas backup furnace automatically kicks in...but the solar panels continue to work, sending unused power back to the grid giving you a credit towards months of higher usage. Additional gas line run into backyard for future gas fireplace/pit, built in BBQ; whatever you want. Large garden with automatic watering: 6 raised beds measuring about 5'x10' with established strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. (want to buy some homemade jam?!). Sun solar shades to assist with keeping the house cool in summer months. Corner lot, fruit (peach, apple) and shade trees.
